I didn’t grow up understanding money. Like most people, I just assumed that the professionals around us — the CPA, the Financial Planner — had it covered.

My family owned multiple businesses, and every year we paid huge amounts in taxes. And yet, we never had a retirement plan or knew how to create generational wealth.

When I finally understood what that meant, I realized we had lost out on millions of dollars. It wasn’t just the money that stung - it was the realization that no one had educated us. No one had encouraged us. And that blind spot would impact not just us, but the people who worked for us — hotel staff, restaurant workers, drivers, housekeepers — people who needed retirement security just as much as anyone else.

That’s when the fire lit inside me. I knew I had to do something different. I became a Financial Planner, not to sell products or push investments, but to educate. To give people the one thing my family never got: clarity.

Today, I sit with entrepreneurs, employers and employees and walk them through what their money is really doing. I ask questions no one else asks: Do you know how much is left after your bills each month? Do you know what your retirement plan actually invests in? Do you know how small changes today can add up to real freedom later?

I’ve seen single moms who thought retirement was impossible start with just $25 a paycheck — and grow it into tens of thousands. I’ve watched people come into a meeting ashamed, anxious, and certain they were failing… and leave with hope, a plan, and their head held high.

For me, this isn’t about spreadsheets or tax codes. It’s about dignity. It’s about turning fear into confidence. It’s about proving that financial freedom isn’t reserved for the wealthy — it’s possible for anyone. Because financial literacy is a human right, not a luxury.

That’s why I do this work. Because once you learn to see money differently, you don’t just change your finances. You change your future.
