When “Having It All” Was Not Enough
“Is this it?”
“Is this all there is?”
I remember standing at my desk, looking out my third-floor office window overlooking the corporate campus, watching people head to their cars at the end of the day. Suddenly, I had this overwhelming feeling of… emptiness.
I looked around my corner office and tried to pinpoint what was wrong. I had climbed the corporate ladder from startups to Fortune 500 companies. I had the title. I had the paycheck.
It wasn’t that I didn’t have enough to do — I was constantly on the go: putting in 60+ hours a week, leading teams and projects, raising a child as a single parent, and caring for my aging parents on the weekends. But underneath it all, I was drained. Something was missing.
So when the opportunity came to leave during yet another corporate restructuring, I didn’t hesitate.
I thought I’d figure it out. After all, I’d managed million-dollar projects, led teams, and hit every deadline. But running my own business? Oh, that was a whole different beast. I had plenty of ambition and a strong work ethic, but I’d lost my structure and found myself spinning in circles — too many ideas, too many directions, too many tools, not enough momentum, and no guide or collaboration.
I quickly learned that freedom can feel like drowning if your business doesn’t have a solid foundation.
And that’s when the search began.
I started asking myself: What made me successful before? What was it that gave me clarity and direction when everything else was chaos? That question led me to rediscover something that had been there all along — my ability to see patterns, connect the dots, and build bridges between people, ideas, and systems.
When I became a certified CliftonStrengths coach, I finally had language for it — my greatest strength was called Strategic. That’s why I could see the end result so easily. But that same strength was also tripping me up. I could see the full path to the finish line long before others could, and because it came so naturally, I couldn’t understand why they didn’t see it too. I’d lose them at the starting gate.
Once I learned to slow down and communicate the journey — not just the destination — everything changed. That’s when momentum began.
Over time, I realized so many talented entrepreneurs stall out for the same reasons. It’s not a lack of drive — it’s that they don’t always understand their natural strengths or the blind spots that come with them. And often, they’re buried under mayhem.
That’s why I created Aligned Success Coaching. As I’ve grown, both personally and professionally, I’ve learned how to guide others through their own transitions — from chaos to clarity, from overwork to alignment.
And now, I’ve created The Entrepreneur’s Power Pack Giveaway for your success. Every contributor here helps you simplify something that’s been holding you back — whether that’s marketing, money, mindset, or momentum. Because your business deserves progress, not panic.
